Join the Garden House Hospice Care Bridges of London Walk on 14 May
I was recently invited to visit Garden House Hospice Care in Letchworth, and was absolutely blown away by the fantastic work carried out by the amazing staff and dedicated team of volunteers. The Hospice needs to raise £3m a year to run its invaluable services to support patients and their families. I learnt that a staggering two thirds of that funding needs to be raised from the general public. It’s a phenomenal task but the fundraising team works tirelessly to make sure it happens.
If you’d like to help raise money for this charity that does so much good within the local community, please join their next event – The Bridges of London Walk on Sunday, 14 May.
This is a really popular sponsored walk for all the family and an excuse for a great day out in London. You can either make your own way to London, or there is a coach that will drop you off in Battersea Park. You’ll then cross the iconic Bridges of London to reach the finish near Tower Bridge.
“This is a lovely event to be part of, and one that has a special place in the hospice events calendar,” said Cathy White, Event Manager for Garden House Hospice Care. “Many walkers come back year after year to support us and new walkers to the event are surprised at the parts of London they never knew existed. Every walker gets a medal as a reminder of the day.”
I really hope that lots of our mums can take part! For more information, including registration fees and how to sign up, please visit the website or call Cathy White on 01462 679540.
Thank you so much for your support.
