Can you knit, bake or leaflet drop? Garden House Hospice Care needs you

by Natalie

Garden House HospiceLast week, very brave fundraisers walked across fire to raise much-needed money for Garden House Hospice Care, a local charity that provides a wide range of free services for adults facing a life-limiting illness, as well as their carers and families. Garden House Hospice Care needs to raise £3m each year to continue to provide its invaluable services, and it needs your help.

We’re not asking you to walk across fire (though you can if you wish!). However if you have a little time to bake, knit, help at an event, or even drop leaflets through letterboxes, then Garden House Hospice Care would love to have your support.

How can I help?

If you’re a baker…

Fancy yourself as the next Mary Berry? Garden House Hospice Care would be grateful for tasty cakes and cookies to sell at their fundraising events.

If you can knit, crochet or stitch…

Yellow knitted chicks are assembled throughout the year for the Charlie Chick Campaign, ready to be sold during the spring months.

If you can pack a bag…

No special skills required here, I think most of us could manage this one! Throughout the year, Garden House Hospice Care runs charity bag packing at Sainsbury’s in Letchworth and Hitchin.

If you can help at an event…

If you can leaflet drop…

Could you help promote Garden House Hospice Care events and spread the news by leaflet dropping around residential areas and shops?

If you could help run an awareness stall…

These are ad hoc requests where Garden House Hospice Care will run a stall and collection bucket at events in the local area (North Herts, Stevenage, Royston and surrounding villages).

We’d love our mums to show some support

These are just a few ways you could support the wonderful Garden House Hospice Care. Even if you can only support one event, the team would be extremely grateful. It would be fantastic if some of our lovely mums could help.
