In the name of research for work (ahem), I’ve just scoffed the most delicious cupcake from The Cupcake Company, which opened its new shop this morning in The Wynd, Letchworth.
It was a pleasure to meet Emma, the very talented owner and lead baker of The Cupcake Company. She’s been supplying local businesses with her creations for a while now and jumped at the opportunity to open up a small shop in Letchworth, especially as she now has space for her own bakery at the back.
The shop sells cupcakes (obviously), cakes, tray bakes, chocolates, and other treats. If you have a sweet tooth, you won’t be disappointed.
By the time I arrived, Emma had already sold out of some of her most popular flavours, including the Nutella cupcake. I chose a salted caramel with Curly Wurly cupcake for hubby (there would’ve been trouble if I’d forgotten one for him!), a coffee cupcake for myself, and a plane-themed vanilla cupcake for my son, at £2 each. Mine was delicious and disappeared in about 30 seconds.
It’s a small shop so unfortunately there isn’t anywhere to sit, but it is situated right opposite the Pirate Ship where there are a couple of benches, so if you end up taking the kids, they can work off the sugar rush there!
Please check it out if you’re in Letchworth, and support this great new local business. More info can be found on the website here.
